Do some research before your first waxing treatment This photo is of my client "Dennis" after one of his treatments. All his pubic hair were removed. You did your homework and found a waxing salon you like that is clean with friendly personnel. You decided to go ahead. Congratulations! You're happy with their prices and made a bikini, or maybe even a brazilian hair waxing appointment. Unlike the photo epilation methods, hot waxing is very successful on grey pubic hair. Brazilian bikini waxing really and honestly doesn't hurt that much. I promise you. A client, who I'll call "Eric", gratiously allowed me to photograph his waxing experience in order to better illustrate the technique to my viewers. Explanation of waxing treatment The photo left shows how the cosmetologist tests the temperature of the wax. A little bit is first applied to her own, and then to "Eric's" wrist. The wax must feel warm, but never hot. Warmed wax is applied to the client's wrist to assess if the wax is at a temperature that is comfortable for the client. Different people can tolerate different temperatures. You can have your pubic hair naturally long. Or you can prefer to be totally bald. You can remove a little, a lot, or all of your pubic hair. Your choice. You have a choice between a number of different male hair removal methods you can use. It is frustrating that different waxing salons use different names. All the names describe nearly the same "look". I suggest you ignore the names. Simply describe exactly what you do, and don't, want. How deep is a pubic hair's follicle? The picture very clearly shows how the pubic hair are embedded inside the cooled hot wax. You can clearly see the length of the pubic hair follicles, because they are jutting into the air. Eric is not a hairy man as you can see for yourself. The consultation before the treatmentThe cosmetologist will ask you to remove your clothes and to lie down on the waxing couch. Then she will make an assessment.Your expectations and the eventual results you desire will be discussed with the cosmetologist who will be performing the treatment.  Within a few minutes she will be performing hot wax hair removal on the very place you are afraid to call by its name! Just get over yourself. Be very specific when you describe what results you would like to have. She can't read your mind. She will be able to deliver exactly what you want - if you tell her. The main difference is in the amount of pubic hair that will be removed during the waxing appointment. Different waxing styles available to menMen feel overwhelmed by all the strange salon names (Brazilian wax, Brazilian bikini wax, Hollywood wax, Regular bikini wax, Full bikini wax, French bikini wax, Sphinx wax, totally bare, Playboy wax, etc).I personally never even mention the different names to my male clients. My experience is that men know exactly what they want, but don't know what it is called. The different pubic area hair removal style names are mainly for salon use to fix a price. About 100% of my clients want to have the member, sack and perineum totally smooth. Many male clients want the area around the bottom waxed too. They definitely want the shaft rid of unwanted hair. The biggest differences are with the amount of hair that are left on the mont pubis - the bushy area below the navel. Some men want a narrow landing strip, some a wide landing strip. Some a circle around the base, some a triangle, some want everything off, etc, etc. This is what you call pubic hair designs. Others want it bushy or trimmed there, but smooth everywhere else.
