Equipment needed to make Egyptian honey lime sugaring

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup honey
20 drops lime juice

EQUIPMENT:

Candy thermometer is very important!
Wooden spoon for constant stirring
Heavy saucepan
Sharp knife
Timer
Measuring utencils
Plastic or glass eye dropper
Juicer and tea sieve to strain juice
Shallow glass or heatproof plastic container with wide neck or empty coffee tin.

PREPARATION METHOD:

Cut lime, extract juice and throw through sieve. Throw away pips and fibre.
Put honey and lime juice in a heavy saucepan, put on stove set on medium heat.
Heat very slowly to boiling. Simmer about 15 minutes, but mustn't boil over.
Use a candy thermometer to determine when softball candy stage is reached.
This will happen at 238 F or 114,5 C. Liquid will turn amber and thick.
The consistency is right when you are able to see the bottom of the saucepan.
Immediately remove from heat when the mixture thickens.
Let cool 5 minutes before decanting so container doesn't melt or break.
Use when cooler or store in suitable container for later use.

The little red dots left on the surface of the skin is where the hair were waxed out.

The spots will disappear in a few hours. Or at the most it will be gone by the next day.

It isn't a rash, because you can't be allergic to any of the ingredients. The redness will go away within a few hours. There is absolutely no reason to be alarmed.
