Hair Removal Methods

Depilation, Epilation, Laser, IPL and Electrolysis

Hair removal methods, male grooming or manscaping is known to metrosexuals, but retrosexuals are still an untapped market.

Depilation Hair Removal Methods Various methods were used in ancient Egypt by men and women, because of the hot and sandy climate.

Women never really stopped removing their body hair since then.

And now the men are catching up with women again.

The current generation is not growing any less body hair than previous generations and it is disliked by everyone.

Men want quick, simple, fast solutions to male body hair removal problems and needs.

This leaves men with only one option: serious grooming! Grooming pubic hair is normally at the top of the list.

Hair Removal Methods

Hair can be removed by various methods from any part of the body. There are four main types of hair removal, namely:
  1. temporary depilation (see photo above) removes the hair above the surface of the skin - shaving, chemical creams, clipping or trimming, abration or friction;
  2. Epilation Hair Removal Methods

  3. epilation methods remove the hair and the root - tweezing, sugaring, waxing, threading or electrical epilators;
  4. photo epilation uses light and gives long lasting up to permanent results - laser or intense pulsed light (IPL);
  5. electrolysis is the only method that gives permanent results - galvanic, thermolysis or a blend of the two methods can be used.
Humans still have much more body hair than they actually need, because they now wear clothes.

Types Of Ingrown Hair

The temporary depilation hair removal methods (shaving, depilatory cream and clippers) can and do cause ingrown hair. The hair follicles become irritated and distorted. That can lead to ingrown hair.

During epilation methods (waxing, tweezing and epilator device) the hair plus the root is pulled out of the skin. Over time epilated follicles start to shrink. The result is thinner and softer hair.

You can get two types of ingrown hair. The hair can either leave the follicle and keep on growing just under the skin surface. This is called an extrafollicular ingrown hair.

Or it can turn around into the follicle and keep on growing inside the follicle. This is called a transfollicular ingrown hair.

The only way you can be assured of no ingrown hair is if the follicles are disabled (killed). Electrolysis permanently gets rid of unwanted body hair by killing the hair follicle. This is the only FDA approved permanent hair removal method available.

Ingrown Hair After Hair Removal

Vaya Cream For Ingrown Hair The biggest problems are without a doubt ingrown hair and skin sensitivity.

You would be wise to buy a product like Vaya Smooth Cream to help with the ingrown hair.

If you are allergic to Aspirin, you should be cautious. Do a 24 hour test patch first.

If you can't get Vaya, find anything with Acetylated Salicylic acid, Acetic acid or Stearic acid.

Apply the cream morning and evening to the affected areas until it is cleared. Prevent ingrown hair by applying daily after shaving.

The skin completely renews itself every 3-5 weeks. Problems will be lessened enormously when the area where hair are removed is exfoliated daily. Or at the very least weekly.
