Male Sportsmen

Most Do Leg Hair Removal

Male sportsmen succumb to vanity and to illustrate their dedication to their chosen sport when they remove their body hair. This manscaping craze is currently sweeping across the globe.

Body hair removal is very popular amongst male sportsmen.

The one thing all these men have in common is serious DEDICATION to their chosen sport.

Some are so dedicated that their sport even become their occupation.

I am talking about bodybuilders, cyclists, swimmers, athletes and gymnasts.

Why do sportsmen remove their body hair?

Male sportsmen - short distance sprinters
  • To be taken seriously by other sport devotees. To fit in with the group. To look like the group.
  • Professionals do it. Heroes and sports icons like David Beckham are emulated and worshipped.
  • To best show off hard earned muscle definition. They spend endless hours exercising and honing their bodies to near perfection.
  • Once you start, it is nearly impossible to stop again. All the many reasons for male leg shaving are just given as justification.
  • The real reason is to feed the male ego. The easiest way to achieve that, is to wear clothes that show off a muscular physique and as much hairless skin as possible.

Male swimmers

Male sportsmen - South African Swimmer Ryk Neethling The only sport where the removal of body hair has been scientifically proven to give an advantage, is competitive swimming.

A hairless body has absolutely nothing to do with bettering performance in any other sport.

Body hair definitely adds to the drag resistance in water.

Male swimmers use various methods like swim caps, specially designed swimsuits and fantastic technique to reduce resistance.

I must tell you that I don't care a thing about drag resistance. As a red blooded female, I simply enjoy to look at swimmers' beautifully toned muscled bodies in their tiny speedos.

The absence of body hair just gives meters of beautiful male flesh to feast our female eyes upon. Remember, it isn't only men who like to look at the opposite gender!

Models, gymnasts, athletes and dancers

  • Male exotic dancers use their well toned bodies to make a living. They oil their skins and body hair distracts from the visual effect. They also perform private hair removal. Male exotic dancers and models remove nearly all their body hair.
  • Just like female models, the professional male models must look fresh faced and adolescent. That is the look the gay designers prefer for their clothes horses. Hair adds years and must go. Male underclothes models and swimwear models take male hair removal to extremes.

Male sportsmen - gymnast

  • Hairless bodies are synonymous with male gymnasts, who seemingly effortlessly do intricate maneuvers, but you never notice any underarm hair or leg hair on any of them.
  • By male athletes I mean the whole spectrum from sprinters right through to soccer players. The most famous hairless sportsman must surely be David Beckham. Athletes' main reason is quite propably sweating. I think it's more likely to fit in with the group.

Male cyclists

Male sportsmen - cyclist's leg after a fall The sportsmen with the biggest issues concerning leg shaving, is undoubtedly the male cyclists! Hairless legs have become synonmous with male cyclists.

These sportsmen looks like they can cycle enormous distances on their fancy bikes without much effort. Their smooth bulging leg muscles gleaming with sweat.

Cyclists say they remove their leg hair to keep infection at buy in case of a fall. That it helps with wind resistance. And that it makes massaging easier.

But that is just a lot of crap. They shave their legs to show off their well-formed legs. Cyclists are a narcissistic bunch of men!

They will never, ever, ever give the real reason. Why? Because it is a very closely guarded male sportsmen secret, of course!

Body builders

Male sportsment - body builder in competition pose Hair removal by male bodybuilders became popular, because judges need to see the muscle definition of contestants during competitions.

Now that is a reason that makes perfect sense to me.

It took many hours of blood, sweat and tears in the gym to look like that.

It just won't do to cover all that muscles with body hair! It simply wouldn't look quite the same.
