Pubic Hair Waxing StylesPubic Hair DesignsThere are four pubic hair waxing styles, but beauty salons gave every style variation its own fancy name. Style names are bikini, regular bikini, sack and crack, full brazilian, totally bald, sphinx, playboy, french bikini, full bikini, brazilian, etc. This is really confusing, don't you agree? It is made even more confusing when styles aren't kept the same throughout the beauty industry worldwide. I recommend that you ignore the names and describe exactly what you want. Your ignorance might result in a wax style you don't want, or like, at all. Lower on this page you will find photo's of two of my clients. They were kind enough to give permission to me to take a photo after their brazilian wax treatment. I'll call the one client "Michael" and the other "Sean" to protect their privacy. The general public is terribly confused by all the different names the beauty and waxing industry insist on using. My experience is men want most hair removed and really can't be bothered with fancy designs and things. 
"Michael" only wanted to be waxed under his underwear, which left him with a strange looking pubic unibrow. "Sean" is lower on the page and wanted to be waxed up to his navel. I must hasten to add that Michael has since then decided against the straight line at the top. I now wax a much bigger area on the top and sides. I am of the opinion that it looks much better, because he is a very hairy man. There are only four waxing stylesGradually more hair is removed, until you get to the point where all, or nearly all, of the pubic hair is gone!The regular bikini style takes away the least amount of pubic hair. The full brazilian takes away all, or nearly all hair. 1. Regular bikini wax With this waxing style only the hair outside of the normal panty line is removed. Maybe a tiny little bit more, but nothing drastic. If the client prefers it, the top of the triangle can be neatened. The hair that is left can be trimmed shorter, or left as it is. 2. Full bikini style More hair is removed at the top as well as from both sides, resulting in a smaller triangle. The results are mostly a triangle or landing strip of various sizes and thicknesses. No hair is removed from the lower area between the legs that is normally covered by a bikini panty. The hair at the front can be left long, trimmed short, shaped into some or other pubic hair designs, like an upside down triangle, or a thin or wide landing strip, etc. 3. French bikini wax Only a narrow strip of hair is left at the front. Again a fancy design can be fashioned in the remaining hair. Adventurous clients even colour the hair. All hair is removed from the area between the legs, called the perineum. No hair is removed around the hole or buttocks. 4. Full brazilian bikini wax 
All the pubic hair is removed to give a totally bald look. "Sean" wanted to be totally bald. Sometimes a very narrow strip or small design will be left at the front. The whole area between the legs and cleft is waxed clean. It is the client's choice whether the buttocks will be waxed or not. Cold waxing or hot waxing?
However, give your skin at least two days recovery time after a wax before you start exfoliating. The skin will feel like you had too much sun directly after a wax. Wait for this sensitivity to go away first. Skin exfoliation should preferably be performed during the daily bath or shower, especially when you do hair removal. The photo above shows a few things that can be used to exfoliate the skin on different body areas. Remember to moisturise to keep the skin soft. Ingrown hair might be the result of hair being broken off under the skin during waxing. Cold waxing shouldn't be used on pubic hair or (axilla) underarm hair, because the hair is too coarse and might break off. I know many beauty salons use cold wax on the whole body. Many salons use this technique, because it is an extremely fast technique, especially when the roller system or pistol cartridge system is used. The underarm and pubic hair of men are very dense and coarse with deep roots. Some females have very little and soft private hair. Sugaring or cold wax can be used successfully on females. Hot wax or film wax?
When hot wax is left on the skin until totally cold it can break when removed. Film wax stays pliable even when totally cold. Hot wax or film wax works fantastic for all male brazilian wax hair removal. The cosmetologist will decide whether cold, hot or film wax will be used. If you are unhappy with anything, you should mention this to her. If you prefer a specific wax, she should also be informed of your preference. You can see that it is really unnessary to be intimidated by all the strange names for pubic hair waxing styles.
