Dry Skin Brushing Tips

Use a Natural Bristle Brush

Skin brushing tips to help you get rid of (and then prevent) unwanted ingrown hair. Dry skin brushing is dirt-cheap, fast, very effective and is performed in the privacy of your own bathroom.

Skin brushing tips - use natural bristle brushes Once the brush is bought, there is no further expenses to this easy technique.

All it takes is five minutes of your time and some dedication.

Ideally it must be done every day. Don't expect results if you don't.

Who should do it?

Skin Brushing Stimulates Lymphatic System Everyone who is troubled by ingrown hair.

Unfortunately by then it is already too late.

You can only brush those areas where you perform hair removal if you prefer.

The whole body need not be brushed, but you should consider it.

You have so much to gain. And cellulite to loose!

Brushing stimulates the lymphatic system to remove more waste products that are trapped inside the tissues and cells of the body.

We are surrounded by toxins in our surroundings and in the foods and drinks we consume, leading to ill-health.

Trapped toxins are the main cause of cellulite. Suggest daily skin brushing to the woman in your life!

Dry skin brushing tips

Natural bristle brush - skin brushing tips
  1. The best times to do dry skin brushing are mornings or before bedtime in the evenings.
  2. It should be done daily, or every second day, but definitely once a week at the least.
  3. The skin must be dry. The brushing can be followed by a shower, bath or a quick rubdown with a washcloth or sponge to get rid of the loose skin flakes.
  4. Because men have thick skin you don't have to start with too soft a brush. The sensitivity of the skin must be your guide. Use your own judgement. When the skin becomes accustomed, you may progress to a brush with firmer bristles.
  5. The brush must be reserved for your own use, and just like your toothbrush, mustn't be shared with anyone else. This is mainly to combat cross contamination.
  6. Clean the natural bristle brush every few weeks with mild soap and water. Let it dry naturally in the sun or a warm room.
  7. The dry skin brushing should be performed firmly and vigorously, but not overly aggressively. The skin should get a rosy glow, but mustn't become red or irritated.
  8. Skin brushing tips - use long handled brush for your back

  9. The biggest skin brushing tip is that the whole procedure should only take three to five minutes.
  10. Avoid brushing where the skin is broken or irritated because of inflamed ingrown hair or even folliculitis. The correct folliculitis treatment will be given by a medical doctor
  11. Try some inexpensive home remedies to get rid of ingrown hair and to help the skin heal quickly before attemptimg to brushing that area again.
  12. The best brush to use is a natural bristle brush with a long detachable handle. You will find a whole selection of these brushes at health food stores and chemists. If you really don't have anything else, even a nailbrush will suffice.
  13. Never brush anything but a dry skin with a dry brush. Neither the skin nor the brush must be damp or wet. You can cause stretching and sagging of the skin.

Skin brushing tips for inflamed follicles

When you have a patch of inflamed and red (or even infected) hair follicles, the skin brushing tips I recommend is that you should avoid brushing that area until the skin has healed completely.

When an inflamed hair follicle gets infected by fungus or bacteria, you really have a problem. That problem is called folliculitis. Follow this link to see some pictures of folliculitis infections.
